Ylang Ylang Single Note Essential Oil

Ylang-ylang Extra Essential Oil has a sweet, exotic, floral scent that is one of the most sought after aromas.

Therapeutic Qualities:

Ylang-Ylang is considered to be an aphrodisiac. It also evokes feelings of calm that melt away anxiety, tension, and stress. It can bring on feelings of euphoria and makes you feel beautiful.

History/Lore:

Ylang-ylang is often referred to as "poor man's jasmine". In Indonesia, it is customary to strew Ylang-ylang flower petals on the bed of newlywed couples.  In the Philippines, the Ylang Ylang flowers are strung together with the flowers of the Sampaguita, to create necklaces (lei) which are worn by women and are used to adorn religious images.

Note:

Ylang-Ylang Essential Oil distillation produces different grades of essential oil (Ylang Ylang Extra, I, II, and III). Ylang Ylang Extra is the highest quality is considered the superior choice by aromatherapists.
